Hi, I’m Travis, the owner of Handyman Hero. In 2022, I took a leap of faith and left my desk job to pursue a career path that felt more meaningful.

That’s when Handyman Hero was born.

I first started the business in Phoenix, AZ, as a way to support myself while training to become a commercial pilot. In 2023, my girlfriend and I moved to Iowa so she could begin dental hygiene school at Kirkwood Community College. That summer, I enrolled at the University of Dubuque to continue my flight training.

While the GI Bill helps cover much of my schooling, there are still plenty of hidden costs and everyday, life, expenses. Handyman Hero helps me fill these gaps. I’m truly grateful for every opportunity and project that comes my way. Each opportunity to help others is both meaningful and a step closer to my dream.
